PRACTICE and RACE SCHEDULE UPDATE...

Friday, May 24, 2013  -  - **Practice and Race schedule**  Friday, May 24th - In support of Supercross BMX (Boiling Springs) holding its State Race Tomorrow - Saturday, May 26th - (sign ups there 10:30-11:30 am),
Greenville BMX will postpone its regular practice to 3-5 p.m.  We'll hold a  single points race if enough racers are interested.  We hope you enjoy Supercross BMX and then come on down for some more track time later. We are also holding a gate practice Sunday, May 27th, from 3-5 p.m.

The Dominique Daniels clinic went very well in perfect weather and excellent track surface conditions.  Mr. Tim Daniels (Dom's Dad) knows how to inspire riders novice to pro level and this was appreciated by the clinic participants.  A special thanks to Dom and Tim, as well as Allan Hudson (THE Gate King!) and Mark Shaw from Phoenix who helped Chris hone gate skills. These guys are good!

September 27, 2012 - Update - 2012 East Coast Nationals were a Big Success!!

From one of the participants that traveled from Connecticut: "Well, we had a great time at this race! Good race-track, well groomed, relaxed atmosphere, magnificent weather"  The USABMX Nationals team pulled off a terrific weekend of racing at our track.  The Saturday National had approximately 110 motos and 98 motos Sunday.  This represents between 400-500 racers from over 24 States.  There are links to the event photos :

August 16, 2012 - Greenville BMX would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Mr. Rich Skaretka of Charlotte for having designed the new Greenville BMX Association logo.  Rich provided several versions to choose from.  The choice was a difficult one as they were all great.  Rich's daughter, Lauren, races 14 girls and we're hoping to see her at the track during her training run-ups to National events.

Track Re-Opened and re-named 'Greenville BMX Association' - a non-profit

August 1, 2012

Great News!  The track was rebuilt by July 19th-22nd by USABMX’s Lance Maguire July 19th-20th!
It’s now up to National Race Standards and we’re hoping that it will be a great source of fun, exercise, and racing for all levels!

We are currently working hard to groom the track surface for the first practice scheduled for Saturday, August 4th, 10:30 a.m. through 2:00 p.m.  Any and all people willing come during the evening and/or night to lend a hand with raking and grooming will be welcomed with open arms.

As we are working on this web page, please visit our Facebook Page (Greenville BMX) for updates and information.  You can reach us any time at greenvillesouthsidebmx@hotmail.com or the contacts listed below.

USABMX’s Chris Luna has met with local families and the Greenville Sports & Rec department and all agreed to step up and do some serious work to get the track ready for the 2012 East Coast Nationals to be held September 21st-23rd.

From there, local families will be doing their best to rebuild the racer base by coordinating practice and race day/time with surrounding tracks to make it easier for those who want to race two tracks per day on the weekends.  For the remainder of the 2012 season, we plan to hold weekly novice-inter clinics on Saturday mornings between 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. beginning August 11th.  After the clinic, regular gate practice will start through 12:00 p.m.  Racing will begin no later than 12:30 p.m. and more practice will be available after the race until 2-3:00 p.m.  Our goal will be set to run the races on time and done ASAP.

We’re looking forward to the coming months and we’re hoping for your support!

Thanks for your patience.
